DR LAURA CAREY

 

Dr. Laura Carey is a lecturer at the University of the West of Scotland, with research expertize in perceptual-cognitive performance. Her work focuses on the use of eye-tracking and electroencephalogram (EEG) technologies to investigate the cognitive and neural mechanisms that underpin expert performance in sport.

 

She is a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered practitioner psychologist and a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Dr. Carey has over 15 years of experience in elite sport, having supported athletes at major international events including the Olympic Games (2012, 2016), World Championships (2008–present), and Commonwealth Games (2010, 2014, 2018).
 
Alongside her academic and applied work, Dr. Carey contributes significantly to the quality assurance of higher education programmes. She has substantial experience evaluating institutions and training programs against national competency standards and professional benchmarks, ensuring high-quality education and regulatory compliance across the sector.

DR LADOUCE

 

Dr. Ladouce is a cognitive neuroscientist dedicated to transforming cutting-edge research into practical solutions that enhance everyday performance and rehabilitation. He has spent his career examining how people perceive, think, and act in real-life contexts through the use of wearable brain and body sensing technologies. After earning his PhD at the University of Stirling (UK), Dr. Ladouce developed Brain-Computer Interface technology to support flight operations and focuses on translating technological breakthroughs into user-friendly applications for clinical neuropsychology.

 

Dr. Ladouce, a dedicated triathlete, has been published in prestigious neuroscience journals. He is driven by the goal of creating innovative tools that help individuals unlock their full potential, whether they’re seeking to improve athletic performance or recover from injury.

Dr Laura Carey has spent over 15 years working in elite sport including supporting athletes at Olympics Games in 2012 and 2016, World Championships 2008 - until present day and Commonwealth Games in 2010, 2014 and 2018. Laura’s PhD was in golf putting and she is an active researcher focusing on improving golf putting performance. Laura’s main research interests lie in perceptual expertize with a specific focus on using eye tracker and Electroencephalogram (EEG) technology. Laura is excited to be able to integrate research and technology to enhance coaching practice.

 

Laura is a Health and Care Professionals Council registered (HCPC) practitioner psychologist, and a Chartered Psychologist (BPS). She is also a member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences and Expertise and Skill Acquisition groups. Laura is currently a lecturer at University of the West of Scotland.

Caesar Bayliss has been a PGA professional for over 20 years who specializes in the art and science of putting. 
 
Caesar is excited to showcase the newest developments in technology which will bring players the most advanced analysis to date and give them their putting DNA. 
 
Caesar’s coaching approach encapsulates the principles of ecological dynamics which allows him and his players to experience the freedom needed to find the desired outcome, which is ultimately getting the ball in the hole!
